All our products, including ScreenHunter, have no issues with Log4J. All of our products are programmed entirely in C++ (no Java) and use Windows standard API calls. Log4J is not used. It does not record, seek or operate any of the communication activities on any PC or servers. All it does is capture or record what you see on your screen.

As for our web system online, the module is not used. Our site is perfectly safe from the exploit.

Yes, our products are designed to run stand-alone, which can be portable software.

If you're using the Free or Plus version, some controls are disabled as they are only available in the Pro version.

In the Pro version, however, depending on your selection, some features may not be associated with it. E.g. the auto-capture timer feature will be enabled when Fixed area, Active window, or Specific window is selected in Window, or Full screen is selected in the Screen group.

Difference?
When you use 64-bit Windows (no matter whether it's Windows 7 or 10), ScreenHunter 64-bit will have far better memory management and run tasks faster.

My scanner doesn't have a 64-bit Twain driver, how do I scan?
Many scanner vendors have not supplied 64-bit Twain drivers. So when you use ScreenHunter 7 Pro 64-bit, you may see the available list empty. However, you can run ScreenHunter 7 Pro 32-bit to scan.

What about SHF files?
SHF (.shf) files created using ScreenHunter 7 Pro 32-bit can be read into ScreenHunter 7 Pro 64-bit. However, SHF files created using 64-bit cannot be read into 32-bit ScreenHunter 7 Pro.

ScreenHunter 7 saves a recorded video as a standard MPEG-4 file, .MP4. MPEG-4 files can achieve professional quality for publishing. The MPEG-4 format is the most common video file format worldwide.

MPEG-4 does not have a size limit, so as long as you have space on your hard drive you can keep recording.

Should I set recording quality to 100%?

Yes, with ScreenHunter 7 Pro, you can record sound from your speakers and microphone. It records all your screen activities into a MPEG-4 video.

In the recording, depending on your PC power, you might want to choose an individual monitor, not 'All monitors'.

On the Save Video tab, in the Video Quality group, video quality can be set from 1 to 100%, with 100 being the highest.

The frame rate also plays a role in quality when you playback the recorded video. The supported range is from 1 to 100 frames per second (fps), with 100 being the highest.

The higher the quality, the bigger the recorded video file size. Depending on your PC speed, setting a higher quality number may actually reduce the recorded video quality.

After you change the screen text size, you need to log out and log back in. Then, launch ScreenHunter again.

On Windows 7


On Windows 10, you need to sign out and sign back in.

A profile is a collection of settings you choose on the tabs, including options. You can name a profile and save it that you can access later to create the same capture or recording effect.

Simply open your image with ScreenHunter Pro Image Editor (or drop your file), click on the File menu and select Save As....

Choose PDF File as Save as type, then Save.

ScreenHunter scrolls down windows or webpages, starting from the current position while capturing.

Scrolling is application dependent, so auto-scroll may not work with all applications, such as windows that have constantly changing content.

The scrolling speed also depends on the machine and the content of the window. You may need to adjust the scrolling speed.

ScreenHunter is a screen capture that saves image files and a screen recorder that saves recorded videos in MP4 files. MP4 is one of the common video formats. However, making an MP4 file will lose some image details for smaller file sizes.

Detailed Comparison

A codec is a piece of software that compresses and decompresses video (often called coding and decoding). It converts uncompressed video to a compressed format to make the video file smaller.

If you recorded your AVI video using Wisdom-Soft Lossless Codec (WIS1), you need the codec to be installed on your PC to play it back. If you have AutoScreenRecorder, it is automatically installed.

Because Wisdom-Soft Lossless Codec is a relatively new codec, some players may not play it well. Windows Media Player can play it, or use the default Media Player that comes with AutoScreenRecorder 5. You may also download and use our Free Media Player everywhere.

Hold down the Ctrl key and click the objects you need to select.
The first selected object handle color is blue, and the following objects are green. Formatting is based on the first selected object.

Frame List shows all the frames. If Frame List is not visible, you can do any of the following to show.

For MotionStudio and MotionGIF, after installation, samples and library files are copied to a sub-folder called "Samples###" (the "###" will be the version number) found in the location where the main program is installed.

To load a sample, choose Open... from the File menu, and locate a .MSF (MotionStudio File) or .MGF (MotionGIF File) in the folder.

To open a library file, choose Open Library... from the Tools menu, and locate a .MSL (MotionStudio Library) or .MGL (MotionGIF Library) file in the folder.

Adding a frame transition is to add a visual effect (many frames) between two frames to show the animation. There are 21 built-in effects to choose from with speed options.

To add a frame transition effect,

• Select a frame. The new frames will be inserted before this frame, and click the Insert Frame Transition button on the Standard toolbar.

  Choose Insert Frame Transition from the Animation menu.
• On the Frame Transition dialog, choose an effect from the Effect dropdown and click the Insert button.

Since the inserted frames contain only a fixed image, they are less flexible. It's recommended that you finish the previous and target frame completely before adding a frame transition effect.
