Vista

On Windows Vista, if "Rectangular area" is chosen and "Adjustable" is checked ("Mouse Pointer" is also checked), it will show the mouse pointer when capturing. But you drag or resize the rectangle, the mouse pointer disappears.

This is an issue only on Windows Vista capturing adjustable rectangular area with mouse pointer. To work around, you may use any of the following ways,

  • Uncheck "Adjustable" for rectangular are capture.

  • If you check "Adjustable", don't move the selected area and press Enter to capture.

  • Use Window/Object, or Full screen to capture first and resize/crop in the image editor.
